The "Bugler" family business was formed over 150 years ago when Robert Bugler began trading as a wheelwright in Beaminster.

Since 1851, the business has continued to serve the agricultural community and today, under the management of John Bugler (Managing Director) has 3 branches, employing over 30 people.

Francis Bugler Limited was incorporated as a Limited Company in 1948, and in 1985, was appointed as a Ford Tractor Main Dealer.

The company later became the New Holland dealer for the West Dorset, East Devon and South Somerset area during the early 1990´s.

Over the last 20 years the company has received the prestigious New Holland "Mark of Excellence" awarded to leading New Holland dealers in the U.K.

In 1998, Alan King joined the company as ATV Sales Manager.

This appointment was followed by the acquisition of the Kawasaki franchise for ATV´s, Mule Utility Vehicles and Power Products & later as Kawasaki Leisure and Sports Quad Bike dealers.

The company has received awards for the highest sales of Kawasaki ATV´s and Mules in the South of England.

During 2006 a dedicated branch trading as "K4 Off-Road" was opened at Charminster, near Dorchester to handle the company´s ATV and "Off-Road" division, this has now been re located to the Axminster depot of Francis Bugler Ltd.

Alan King has been riding trials and motorcross from 6 years of age through ´schoolboy´ progressing on to British Championship Enduro on solos. In later years, Alan was taken on by Kawasaki as a quad rider and then as team manager for Team Green in the British Quad Racing series.

Alan´s knowledge, passion and dedication of the offroad industry is second to none and quite often you will find him at most of the local MX events promoting Kawasaki.

Working alongside Alan is Barry Vickery the offroad technical specialist. Whether its a service or a repair, you can have confidence in the knowledge that with extensive stocks of spare parts and fully trained service engineers, it ensures that a high level of customer satisfaction is attained .
